Service Description

Pixie Playdates is a personalized, play-based early literacy class for children ages 2-4. Taking place in the comfort of your own home or a space of your choosing, Pixie Playdates is designed to gently introduce pre-reading skills in a fun and engaging way. These low-pressure sessions focus on key early literacy concepts, including symbol recognition, phonemic awareness (identifying the smallest units of sound), phonics (understanding the relationship between letters and sounds), name recognition, and simple sight words. Using a mix of interactive games, hands-on activities, and creative play, Pixie Playdates helps children build a strong literacy foundation while fostering curiosity and confidence. The emphasis is on exploration and discovery, so children learn at their own pace in an environment where play is the primary mode of learning. The activities are designed to align with your child’s interests, making every session exciting and relevant to their world. Instead of focusing on formal reading and writing, the goal of Pixie Playdates is to nurture a love of language and literacy through playful, developmentally appropriate experiences. Whether in a 1:1 setting or in a small group with friends, each session encourages active participation and creative thinking. Different packages are offered depending on the number of children you would like to attend the playdate.
